hy
i want to make a simple form having a button.
i want when i oress the button, the outlook express opens up and one can simply send the email...will i hve to confgure oracle with exchange server or is there n e package which i can use

NO MAN...NOT FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS...BUT I WANT TO INTEGRATE THE outlook express with oralce forms.
lets say i want to send a processed report to someone n i want that if i press the button, from the application, outlook express opens up n i(end user) can simply attach the report n send to the respective person....

What version of Forms and Database are you using? Look at 'utl_mail' and 'utl_tcp'.

Okay ... do you HAVE TO HAVE Outlook Express running or do you just need to send an email? If the later use 'utl_mail'.

well dear isnt util_mail is used only on the database server.
wat if one has to use it from run time?
is there going to b n e other way
? if not...i hvnt understood wat u said..
