SQL script;

SELECT SALARY
FROM TABLENAME
WHERE ROWNUM <6
ORDER BY SALARY DESC

That will pull off the top 5 salarys, substitute
SALARY for what the your fieldname for the salary
TABLENAME with the appropriate table for this field
